Cute Wall Decoration - Right at Home Scrapbooking project!

It's me again!!

Here is a project created for Right at Home Scrapbooking! I worked with some paper from Echo Park's Playground collection. I love these papers.. I will do another project using them soon, as I have plenty left!

I rarely ever make anything boyish, so I decided to make my son this cute wall/door hanging decoration for his room! If you want all the details you can get them HERE. You will need SCAL or MTC and the SVG Cuts Jonathan's Bears Collection

 

 

Simple and cute, right?! My son loves it! Be sure to swing on over to RAH's blog for details!! You can take this basic idea and make party signs, etc.!

Anyhow, I have been so busy lately! (crafting, of course) and this is what happens with 4 days straight of paper crafting and me just tossing things to the side to pick up later (ahem.. more like try and ignore it all 'til it get's outta control! LOL!)

 

It will have to wait another day.. No time today to clean it. My 'baby' is 8.. ack, 8.. EIGHT!!!! Lordy, she is growing so fast! I swear it was JUST her 7th birthday, like.. last month? lol. We're having a small celebration at home with cake and some presents (I have GOT to share with you this amazing deal I got on her gifts!) then, in May we're heading to Disneyland for a few days! Whoo-hoo! It will be my sons first time going!

OK, my crafty peeps.. I will talk to you all later! I've got a project to work on tomorrow for Fantabulous Cricut! Not quite sure what I am doing yet, but I am really hoping to start on it tonight.

Teacher Book Cabinet - An SVG Cuts project!

Hey all! I wanted to share this cute little book cabinet I made! Did you know teacher appreciation week is NEXT week? All of us SVG Cuts designers made some great projects to inspire you! Now you can get busy crafting this weekend! Whoo-hoo!

I was going to keep this simple and just do books.. then, I thought a cabinet would be cute. After having it all complete (so I thought), I felt it was missing something.. so, I added a pencil holder to the side. Then... I felt the top needed something, so I threw on a lunch bag! Ta-da! I really, really loved making this and had a lot of fun with it!

OK.. now on to a pile of photos.. you know how I roll! LOL!

Bundle of Joy - My Craft Spot

Whoo-hoo! It's my first design team project for My Craft Spot! This weeks challenge is 'Bundle of Joy' and Kimberly is giving away 5 spools of bakers twine! Please stop on by her blog and check it out!

Here is my project! I did something simple and cute with her awesome stamps and gorgeous crinkle ribbon! These would be great for baby shower favors!

Now, I wish I could tell you were I found the onesie SVG file, it was a freebie and now I can't find it anywhere! But you can make this work with any onesie file or Cricut cartridge cut! I just love this particular file with the ruffle sleeves! :)

I opened my SVG file in SCAL and welded two onesies together. I also added holes to pull my ribbon through to tie the bow. You can add little bags of mints, chocolate, etc. inside and the onesie will fold over it. Super easy! I only had jelly beans.. so that is what I used! lol..

 

 

I hope you like them! I had fun making them with those pretty papers! The papers are a mix of October Afternoon Thrift Store and some from October Afternoon 5 & Dime.

OK, I'm out! I was standing on my feet cooking Easter dinner all day.. Mmmm.. But, I am TIRED and have some testing I have to get done tomorrow (bleh!) so this will be kept short and sweet! Check back in a few days, I will have a little teacher appreciation project to share plus a design team project for RAH Scrapbooking! Yippie!

Lookie here! I created this little barnyard party favor box for SVG Cuts! How cute, right? I really like the way this came out, so much fun! If you want all the details, check out the BLOG POST!

You can take this idea and use it with your own theme! Party, baby shower, sports teams, etc. You really can do so much with these! I bought my little baggies on eBay from THIS SELLER.

Sharing a card.. and some NEWS!

I made this super cute card last night from SVG Cuts Breezy Backyard Lever Cards collection! It's simple, but really cute with these great Summer Days papers from Echo Park! So cheery and fun! I think I will make another one with something else in place of the pinwheel... I am not sure why I waited so long for this set! It's a must have!

Well..... Kimberly from My Craft Spot designs 'em... she also sells pretty little vintage bakers twine and gorgeous vintage ribbons! I posted about some I got back in the fall HERE Little did I know when I ordered the Glossy Accents and ribbon from her, that in March I would get an email from her asking me to be on her DESIGN TEAM! Pretty cool right? Umm, yeah!

Oh, and of course I said yes, I know.. I'm crazy! But my schedule has opened up some so I will have plenty of time to get all my various DT projects done! I'm actually ahead on some, so that's even better, LOL!

I have been itching to so SOMETHING with this gorgeous paper from My Mind's Eye! I decided to sit down and make some cards. I always tell everyone, "I don't 'do' cards" and have made a handful in my time as a paper crafter. But, I really had fun with these and I see more cards in my future! (I think I have said that before.. oh, well!) I bought a small 6x6" pad and love the smaller prints for cardmaking. I never understood the small stacks of paper, now I get it, lol!

All files are from SVG Cuts! Love 'em! They have fabulous cards and card bases to choose from, SEE? I used the Chamomile Friendship collection and Edisto Isalnd collection!

Dontcha' love the little spoon added to the teacup? I got the idea from my friend, Thienly! So, cute.. right?

The flower on the teapot is my 'go to' flower, I love it! I use it on a lot of my projects! I saw someone add a flower to their teapot card on the SVG Cuts Facebook page, and I loved the way it looked! Of course I had to try it too, lol!

No 'recipe' I just wanted to share.. Sometimes I just gotta create and not take notes all the way through, lol. But, if you have a question, reply here and I will help you out!

Springy Treats

I made these for my daughter's class party, as well as FCCB's Design Team project for Challenge Me Monday! This week is to create something using a chick or a bunny!

I used the adorable animal files from SVG Cuts Cuddly Animals Collection! I love them! I had to make 26 of these so I did edit the bunny's feet and also stamped the faces on instead! I wanted to add a ribbon with a stamped sentiment, but I ran out of time.

 

 

Cute, right? I got my little baggies on eBay by searching 'M&M candy bags'. It was 100 for like, $6.00! You can fit jelly beans inside them too! Mmm!

The animals are cut to 2.5" high. I just glued them on with a low temp hot glue gun! Voila'.. Simple treats for the class party!

Hey all! Welcome to Happy Life, Crafty Wife and the fifth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop! 

It's Spring Time, even though some places may not look like it :) and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to have a Spring Fling!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Spring project that includes Pink, Green and Yellow on it along with at least one Cricut cut.

If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start at FCCB! Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Spring Fling" project at FCCB! Whoo-hoo!

For my project I chose to do something cute, simple and functional! I used my favorite Create a Critter cartridge and the pillow box file from the SVG Cuts Christmas Giftbags and Boxes Collection.

Create a Critter Cartridge Shapes -

Bunny - 4 1/2"

Carrot - 1 1/2"

Frog - 3 1/2"

Chick - 4"

Pillow Box from SVG Cuts will be cut at 4.710"h

Assemble and you're done!

If you want to add a stick (perfect to stick into styrofoam for them to stand up!) then you will need some cookie sticks or something or the sort and hot glue!

Punch a small hole in the bottom -

Add some hot glue and twist a bit. Let it cool and it's done!

Berry Sweet

I came across this pattern today after I saw someone make these for the FCCB challenge this week. Download StrawberryBoxPatternwithpicture[1] .. and HAD to make them! I edited it in Photoshop and then created an SVG for it. It worked pretty good! Sooooo..... while slackin' on cleaning I made this:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Isn't it just soooo berry cute? I don't have any candy here, but these would be great for jelly beans, Hershey Kisses, etc. A fun little gift for a friend! I had a lot of fun with these! They are really easy to put together.

You know you wanna make some too!

Print and cut out the template.. or, you can use this SVG file I made. It's not perfect, the tab is a little off, but.. it still works! Download Berry1 

Everything else you can get at SVG Cuts!

If you use my SVG file provided. Cut it at 5.844w. I used my swiss dot folder to emboss the berries.  You will need to poke holes or add them in SCAL. Glue your tab to form a cone.. Or.. make yourself a Madonna cone bra, whatever floats your boat! :)

The 'leaves' are file 6 in the 'extras' folder from the 3D Flower Collection sized at 3.50w. Curl them a little bit.

The box is from the Big Boutique Boxes Collection I used the square flat trio, small.. sized as is in SCAL. I put the sides through my Cuttlebug to emboss. They don't fit right so I had to do them each twice and turn it around the second time.

 Assemble your box as shown in SVG Cuts.

When the berry tab is dry, you can weave your string/twine, etc. through the holes. Pull (not too tight!) and tie closed.

Pull the leaves through. Again, add a hole in SCAL or poke your own.

Add the button and the tie a bow! Ta-Da!

Then have fun decorating your box! Add a handle, fence, some little critters... I wanted to add more to mine, but.. I already wasted enough time and my laundry was calling!

I am such a goob. I was looking at this and realized it was missing something.. the ears! LOL! I will add them tomorrow and edit the SVG file! Whoops!

All you need is SCAL! I am sure you can use cartridges with a Gypsy to make one.. or even Design Studio if you have certain cartridges.. but, this is much faster. Especialy since I turned the shapes into SVG's that you can download Download Sheep_HappyLifeCraftyWife (if you have problems downloading just email me and will get it to ya!)

Or.. you can just do this :

Open you shapes library in SCAL.

Choose 'weather' and select the fluffy cloud shape (AKA - the shape of my mid-section). Uncheck 'keep proportions' and size 3 of them to the following - 4.00w/h, 3.25w/h and 1.800w/h (w/h means width and height)

Go into 'basic shapes' and select the oval. Size at 1.087w x 1.70h. Make sure you do not have 'keep proportions' checked.

Feet are made with the rounded rectangle. .30w and 2"h. Again, make sure you do not have 'keep proportions' checked.

I layered mine with 3d foam adhesive squares. The face was created using Peachy Keen stamps! I used a white gel pen to color in the eyes. The grass is from SVG Cuts Easter Morning Egghunt Collection

Cricut Crawl "Spring Fling" On April 11th!

Whoo-hoo!! It's a spring fling crawl, ya'll! LOL!

I can't wait to share my project with you all AND some yummy blog candy to win! YES! I will be doing a giveaway and so will other FCCB DT members! It's going to be a lot of fun! Hope to see you there!

Blast off!

This weekend I told myself I would lay low and step away from the Cricut for a bit. I have so many little things laying around my house that I needed to finish, like these letters for my sons room! I bought these letters ummm... almost a year ago?! LOL! I wasn't looking forward to painting them so I hid them in the closet. Outta sight, outta mind, right? The other day I was just randomly looking around his room thinking he needs a dresser still.. etc. and thought the walls were so plain and needed some color! (they are dark grey..) I was looking for artwork on Etsy.. and then the lightbulb went off, I remembered I had those letters hidden!

I sat down and got them done.. took over an hour.. ick.

 

I only got to hang up one set of letters. The other set say 'Out of This World' which will go above his closet or window.. which I can't reach. That's why I married someone tall.. yes, just to reach high places for me. I'm 5'4" on a good day.. which isn't crazy short.. but short enough in my family of taller women!

Anyhow.. see how cool they look! 'Blast Off' went right next to his rocket... he has a space themed room.. you know, in case you thought it was a jungle room or something. 'Cause you can always find rockets in the jungle.. right?...

And throwing a quick one of my little dude in here. Shirt off and all lounging around.. He stole my iPhone to play a game when I wasn't looking.

And no.. that's not a wet spot on the arm of the chair. Weird.. the light must have hit the fabric funky.

So.. earlier in my post I said I was trying to stay away from the Cricut.. yeah, didn't happen. I made this cute shirt for my daughter, Alannah!

... and now I want one! And then I want to add 'juicy' to the butt of all my sweat and jammie pants.

Yes.. I am serious...
