I am already 'behind' in my Christmas shopping! I always try to get started in October and by early November I usually have a closet full hidden away! I've only bought, umm... 5 things?
The truth is, I just have no idea what to get my kids this year. I tend to go overboard and every year I am getting better about it. With them not knowing what they want (besides a couple things) really helps, lol. Alannah wants those darn Lalaloopsy dolls along with their clothes. They are pretty cute and I've already bought her two of them with some little clothes. She wants them ALL but she will have to live with two for now. I always start obsessing and overloading them on a certain thing. Like when they first started getting into Littlest Petshop toys.. I bought sooo many pets, it was crazy! And if you know about LPS you know they are a PITA with all those little rubberbands when you open them, egh! So yeah, if it was the 'old me' I would already have all those dang dolls!
That reminds me... I felt so awful the other day. We went to Walmart and happened to see one single Lalaloopsy doll all alone on the shelf. Now, my children rarely ask for something at the store because I can't stand them 'begging' and they know better. But Alannah FLIPPED out when she saw it. She's never seen one in person before. Her mouth fell open, she looked at me with her eyes wide open and screamed, "MOMMY!.. Hurry, get it! I will ask daddy, he will say yes, I know it... pleeeeease, mommy!!!!" I already had the one she was asking for so I had to say no (and probably would have anyways with her acting the way she did)... she didn't understand that that was not the last Lalaloopsy in the world and she totally lost it.. cried and cried. I've never seen her act like that and I put a stop to it.. but sheesh! I felt bad. I just told her she needs to be a good girl, etc., etc.
.... spoiled monster!!!
Autumn, my oldest just wants the Nintendo DSI XL and some 'rock star' clothes along with one Lalaloopsy that she loves. That's it.. not sure on what else to get her?.. Hmmm. Maybe some books and CD's?
Austin, my little man... he is clueless still. He loves tools, anything with wheels and drums. But I am stuck on specifics.. I know for sure I want to get him a tool workbench set.
Ah well.. no point of this post really.. just rambling. LOL!
Mmm-kay.. well, goodnight!
